We recommend yearly vaccination for dogs, cats and rabbits as a preventative measure to protect your pet against potentially serious disease.
Our vaccination plans are based on the latest evidence available, meaning only the necessary vaccines are given. The appointment also provides a great opportunity for us to give your pet a health check – and say hello!
Yes, please discuss this with your Vet at your appointment. Not all diseases are testable, but we can advise you accordingly. This is usually only helpful for immunocompromised pets who have a medical reason to avoid vaccination, it is not something we recommend routinely for healthy pets.
Sometimes animals can be a bit quiet after visiting the vets, but this could be due to the stress of the occasion rather than the vaccine itself. The most common side effects we might see with vaccination is a slight sensitivity around the vaccine site, or a mild temperature. Whilst very low risk, if you think your pet is experiencing any serious side effects, please call us straight away where we will be happy to advise.
Yes, your vet can sign to show which vaccinations your pet has had. Please bring your booklet to each vaccine appointment to keep it up to date. If you don’t intend to take your pet to kennels or use a dog walker, our electronic records are sufficient for us to keep track of your pets vaccine schedule.
